Chris Chappell is Director of Claims, where he oversees the property and casualty claims operations for the Farm Credit System (including those of its captive insurance company) and TPA clients. He leads an accomplished team of claims professionals to deliver responsive, high quality service to FCC Services’ insurance clients.
Chris brings 25 years of insurance experience to his role. Before joining FCC Services, he was construction defect and commercial claims department manager for Builders Mutual Insurance Company, where he managed three teams that facilitated the resolution and litigation of commercial claims. Before that, he spent eight years as litigation/casualty manager for Esurance Insurance Company, where he covered a 17 state region. Earlier in his career, Chris worked for both Farmers Insurance and Progressive Insurance.
Through his diverse background, Chris has gained broad experience handling a variety of insurance coverages, both personal and commercial, and including many specialty lines of coverage. He’s worked with small regional carriers as well as large national corporations, providing him insight into the full scope of organizations
FCC Services supports.
“My background covers a wide spectrum of insurance organizations, so I’ll be able to deliver strong processes that have been refined in large companies, along with a strong relationship-building philosophy gained through my experience with smaller carriers,” says Chris. “In addition, my goal is to ensure that we have the right staff in place who understand our 15 lines of coverage and continue to deliver expert, responsive service to our customers.”
Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from East Texas Baptist University.
